The Clovis Dig, Fink's second novel, is a finalist in the Pacific Northwest Writer’s Association’s (PNWA) Nancy Pearl Award for published authors. The winner will be announced at the PNWA Conference on September 25, 2022 at the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington. the novel's one of two finalists in the Literary Fiction category. This prestigious award is named for Nancy Pearl, who in 2004 won the Women’s National Book Association Award for her contribution to the world of books. The former Executive Director of the Washington Center for the Book, Nancy celebrates the written word by speaking at bookstores and libraries across the country and on her monthly television program Book Lust with Nancy Pearl on the Seattle Channel. She is a regular on National Public Radio’s "Morning Edition” and NPR affiliate stations KUOW in Seattle and KWGS in Tulsa.
